Keith W. Koehler has over twenty six years of comprehensive experience in public accounting and taxation. His experience has been focused in accounting and taxation of small and medium-size businesses such as Personal Service Corporations (attorneys, architects, physicians, and consultants), as well as retailers, radiological and surgical centers, manufacturer representatives, franchises, manufacturers, farmers, licensing companies, not-for-profit organizations, and funeral homes. He holds extensive experience as a client advocate before the Internal Revenue Service and State of Florida. This experience includes representation before the Examination Division of the IRS, the Collection Division of the IRS in resolving delinquent tax accounts and payments, the Special Enforcement Program of the IRS in dealing with criminal tax issues, and the State of Florida in dealing with sales tax examinations.

Prior to starting Koehler & Company, P.A. in 1996, Koehler formerly managed the tax department of two regional accounting firms. In this capacity, he was responsible for taxation of individuals, partnerships, C and S corporations, as well as, intricate tax, retirement, and estate planning. After opening Koehler & Company, P.A., services offered were expanded to include business planning ideas, personnel and labor matter consulting, promotional and advertising advice, overall management consulting, and consultation in the use of computerized accounting applications in their businesses. With significant experience in the preparation of audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements for these types of companies, including not-for-profit organizations, Koehler offers complete accounting and taxation services to the public.

He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida. The firm and Mr. Koehler are members of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Since becoming a C.P.A., Mr. Koehler has taught numerous courses at the University of Tampa and Hillsborough Community College, as well as having presented seminars and written articles on computers and various computer applications. He has diverse experience in the configuration of computers and computer applications, in the set up, installation, and training in the use of computerized accounting applications, and applications developed for the Windows environment. Having completed over 200 installations of Quickbooks, he has the experience to configure and setup your Quickbooks to help you use your accounting software in the most effective and efficient manner. 

 

In 2013, Koehler and Paul Samson, managing partner of The Franchise Edge, LLC, acquired the franchising operations for the Westshore Pizza restaurant concept. Westshore Pizza was founded in Tampa Bay, and includes over thirty franchised locations, primarily located in the Tampa Bay area. Plans for the development of the Westshore Pizza brand included market research, rebranding of the logo and look of the stores, implementation of consistent restaurant standards including operational procedures and implementation of analytical and statistical software.


 

Jason S. Farry

Bachelor of Science, Accounting and Finance - Florida State University

 

Jason S. Farry has been practicing in the public accounting profession in the Tampa Bay Area since 2005. Mr. Farry began his career with the State of Florida Auditor General in Tallahassee while pursuing his degrees in both Finance and Accounting at Florida State University. After graduation, he worked with a Big 4 accounting firm in Tampa, Florida providing auditing and assurance services for multiple Fortune 1000 companies specializing in commercial and investment banking, real estate asset management, and security broker dealers. Mr. Farry also has provided his expertise to closely-held privately owned businesses in banking, insurance, real estate, manufacturing, and healthcare by providing regular financial consulting as well as tax preparation and planning. Mr. Farry has also worked extensively in the field of internal controls as it relates to Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida and a member of the American Instititute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).

 

Farry joined Koehler & Company in 2010 and gathered a great deal of experience in the areas of financial statement accounting, auditing, procedures, preparation of income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, as well as individual income tax preparation and IRS representation in the examination of these returns. Farry ultimately left the firm to start his own firm, but has returned in 2015.
